Emsworth Arts Trail

We will be open for the Emsworth Art Trail again this year an opportunity to view and buy from 7 local artists, enjoy organic refreshments including light lunches and locally-made cakes at our a pop-up café and buy  a variety of fruit and vegetable garden plants and garden sundries, at our plant sale.

This is a free event to attend.

 

Our 7 artists are as follows:

Rosie Morgan – Mixed media, painting

Semi-abstract, mixed media work taking inspiration from old found photographs and the West Sussex landscape. Subtle, atmospheric paintings evoking memories and a sense of history and mystery.

Gael Emmett – Painting, jewellery

A designer, making silver jewellery and artworks. The work reflects the simple rhythms and shapes found in nature and is inspired by local landscapes and seascapes.

Jean Mallan – Printmaker

Jean is a printmaker experimenting with different skills, etching, lino-cutting, silk-screen and mono print. Work is inspired by the natural landscape, real or imaginary. Her aim is to emphasise printmaking as an art form.

Dave Mallan – Photography

I photograph landscapes, textures, reflection and urban scenes, showing traces of past lives. I use post processing techniques to enhance images, sometimes pushing beyond reality, creating aspects of life and the world around me.

Anita Bell – Mixed media, textiles

Contemporary artworks made using paper and stitch to create vivid views or imaginary landscapes that recollect moments of colour and light, and new work based on the myth of Persephone and the fragility of nature.

Karen Ongley-Snook – Mixed media, glass work

Well known for her glass pieces designed for the garden, Karen’s love of colour and form is not limited to glass. Coloured anodised aluminium jewellery, mixed media paintings, Raku glazed ceramics.

Mandy Atkinson – Jewellery

Fascinated with wire and colour, Mandy knits precious metal wire – both statement and everyday pieces. She uses stunning quality gemstone beads to create one-of-a-kind, yet simple pieces that become favourites. New work always available.
