Pure Cariad candles and diffusers are designed to have as little impact on the environment as possible and be kind to you, your family and pets. Packaging for all the products in the range has been designed to avoid plastic and have a reuse or recyclable purpose.

At each stage of development, purity of ingredients is the key foundation using the purest of essential oils in safe quantities that give you the wellbeing effect. Soy wax, now made in Europe, is the most sustainable wax available and we are exploring the efficacy of a newer wax of rapeseed and coconut as an option for future. Time and consideration is given to all the blends to ensure they meet purity and sustainability objectives as well as creating a luxury home fragrance range you’ll adore.

Diffusers are made with a base called Augeo which is vegan and eco friendly and works well to diffuse the essential oils and release the wellbeing aromas into your space without the use of harmful or toxic fumes that are often associated with commercially made diffusers and room fresheners. Reeds are also made from natural rattan rather than artificial fibres in your commercial alternatives.

Supporting my business also means supporting other small businesses as well as Tuppenny Barn. Where possible I use local small businesses for component parts of the manufacturing such as the wooden lids made for me locally just in Havant by a wood turner – this enabled me to bring a lid that wasn’t mass produced in China and didn’t come with a plastic rim.

Our new refill options are ceramics made locally in Warblington which will enable refills of the candles and very soon the diffusers too.

Labels are produced by a small printing business here in the UK and all my supplies of glassware, tinware, candle and diffuser ingredients are sourced from 2 or 3 UK businesses.

I am currently researching best options for room sprays and this will take time as air fresheners are a highly toxic product in commercially made products but there are good alternatives that are kind to you and the planet and I am confident I will fine a good alternative before releasing.

Pure Cariad is constantly evolving and checking the products are still current and sustainable is a top priority.
