Marie Bould

I love Tuppenny Barn!  It serves as a healing place, and I am excited to contribute to its transformation, working towards establishing a thriving and nurturing sanctuary for our community.
My venture into horticulture marked a significant career change.  After navigating roles such as International Business Travel Administrator and Case Manager at Charles Taylor Assistance, Front of House at Greene King, and Resourcing Officer at West Sussex County Council, I made a bold switch in 2022 and became a gardener.  Trading data management software for certifications in Chainsaw Maintenance and Forklift Operation has made me very happy!
As the Assistant Gardener at Tuppenny Barn, my role is wonderfully varied.  From cultivating and harvesting organic produce to leading wreath-making workshops, there is never a dull moment. When I’m not assisting Helen, our Head Gardener, at Tuppenny, I work as a landscape gardener, helping to hone my horticultural skills. I’ve also had the privilege of working with the nursery team at Architectural Plants Ltd.

Tuppenny Barn are proud to be Soil Association Organic
members campaigning for healthy, humane and sustainable
food, farming and land use.

Tuppenny Barn is a member of the Organic Growers Alliance which is a network of growers, farmers and horticulturalists. The OGA is a peer-to-peer support network run by growers for growers. As well, the OGA is a place to exchange information and learn and it represents its members.
